Marina Bichinsky, March 2008

My name is Marina Bichinsky. I love art and can do everything possible and impossible by hands and computer-generated visual art programs. I entered the pasture of visual arts 25 years ago and although my professional occupations and preferences have been changed, combined, replaced, and extended during my life, they have been always associated with the fine art, graphic art, and illustration.

I was raised in artistic family. My grandfather was a writer and journalists and my mother is an artist. As a child of five year old I was brought by my mom to Gulyaev’s Art Studio and I am proud to say that this famous Ukrainian artist and master-teacher involved me in the marvelous world of fine art and leaded me through all steps of development knowledge and skills needed to be accomplishment artist.

During 12 years of study, I learned world art history and created thousands drawing and paintings in a variety of styles and techniques. After graduating the high school, I won a huge competition and have been admitted as a student of the Architectural department of the Kiev Architectural Civil University, where I spent another 5 years to study architectural concepts, forms, and structures while applying my art skills to exciting projects. Moving to United States with my family, I took portfolio of my art and architectural works, which opened doors for me and provided me with an opportunity to work as an architect and graphic artist since the first year of living in my new homeland (1993).

In 2001, I decided to continue my art education and portfolio of works created in my native land and in America provided me with an opportunity to be admitted and become one of most talented artists and illustrators, chosen by the director of the most extraordinary Master degree program of Visual Communication, offered by Syracuse University (Syracuse, NY). In master classes, we learned from each other and worked with the best illustrators of the word: Murray Tinkelman and Cris Payne, Dave Passalaqua and Sano Kazu (Kazuhini), Bunny (Alice) Carter and Bob d’Sey, I worked with “Picsar” guru and creator of “Dreamwork” company. I love to learn new skills and have learned new styles and techniques all the time. This love has inspired my beloved students, whom I have tough during last decade, to do the same. There is no place for drilling, there is place for development own vision and creativity through excitement and fun.

I have traveled around the globe while presenting my art in numerous exhibitions and have seen the most beautiful places of our planet. Reflections of my vision were presented on all five continents. I am currently working to complete 67/100 pages of my book, which I am planning to publish, approximately, in few months. It will contain countless caricatures and cartoons on the most famous people of Silicon Valley, who have artistic and computer talents. The book will be accompanied by epigrams and funny poems, written by comedy club members of our community. Most of them work within such firms as Intel, Yahoo, Google, Sun Microsystem, Applied Materials, Cisco, and not my favorite Apple.

Besides my teaching at Creative Universe, I have several other responsibilities. I am a publisher and chief-in-editor of the NZ Magazine about healthy life style and a publisher and creative director of My Kid is a Star Magazine about encouraging children to be successful. My other responsibilities included managing a team of talented and high quality photographers while offering creative services for any occasion to public.

I hope that study in Doctoral level will teach me to be more knowledgeable in management and leadership substance, which bring a fresh air to my business. That is why, after 5 years of graduation as MA in Visual Communication, I went Phoenix University to learn from experiences of my instructors and peers while purchasing Doctoral degree in Management.

Welcome to the Studio!
